Some thieves are brazen enough to steal just about anything - including an HP desktop computer from a busy store.
That's exactly what happened about 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6, when a couple was captured on WalMart's surveillance cameras placing a computer in a shopping cart and waltzing out of the store.
The problem? They didn't pay.
Now, Stephenville police are asking the public for help in identifying the suspects who were seen leaving in a white, single cab, long wheel base Dodge pickup.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about the case should call 254-965-CASH. Callers will not be asked their name and will remain anonymous.
This is the second big ticket item that has been stolen from WalMart in recent weeks.
Police are still searching for a couple who walked out of the store without paying for a flatscreen TV.
Lt. Doug McClammy said investigators are still working on that case.
