A severely emaciated dog dubbed "Roxy" was rescued and taken to Cornerstone Animal Hospital Friday where veterinarians are working to save her.
"This is definitely one of the worst cases I have ever seen," said Dr. Lauren Adams. "She is about as skinny as they get."
Adams said a client brought the two-year-old Great Dane to the clinic, but would not say anything more about Roxy's background.
She said Roxy was doing slightly better on Monday, but said her prognosis was "guarded."
The clinic now owns Roxy and is raising money for her care.
