DALLAS (AP) — A utility says more than 27,000 homes and businesses in North Texas have lost electricity during a second straight day of storms.
Rain and lightning continued Thursday in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, a day after hail the size of quarters was recorded.
Crews with Dallas-based Oncor (ON'-kor) Electric worked to restore power. Utility officials say about half of the outages are in the Fort Worth area.
The National Weather Service says thunderstorms in the Dallas area should move on later Thursday, while Central Texas can expect more rain.
