1 - Dive into Splashville

Splashville will be open 3-10 p.m. Friday and a fireworks display will follow to celebrate the opening of the season. Splashville is open 1-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday through Aug. 26 with special hours and events monthly.

2 - Catch a flick

Travel back in time with Agent J, Will Smith, to the 1960s and early years of Men in Black to stop an alien from assassinating Agent K, Tommy Lee Jones, and changing the organization's history. The movie opens Friday and can be seen through the weekend at Cinemark Cinema 6.

3 - Head to the outdoor market

If you haven't visited the Growers Market & Artisan Fair, you've missed a lot, including yard art, homemade jellies, homegrown produce and more. The market is open from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Stephenville Museum grounds. This week's event will also include a pet adoption and pet parade so bring your favorite four-legged friend along for the fun.

4 - Cut a rug at the senior center

Cross Timbers Country Express will be picking and grinning during a free community performance at the Stephenville Senior Citizen Center that will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday. Attendees are asked to bring a finger food.

5 - Enjoy jazz, local flavor

Bluff Dale Winery invites you to mellow out to jazzy tunes from 4-7 p.m. Saturday. The Pearl Street 4 will perform for free, and attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic and friend. Beverages must be purchased from the winery.
