It's a wish list of sorts, an opportunity for citizens to submit budget requests to the city council for consideration.
As part of its budget planning each year, the Stephenville City Council considers citizen input - and over the years has heard a variety of suggestions like the need for sidewalks, street repairs and big ticket items such as a new library, senior center and park amenities.
Citizens who want to weigh in on the budget have until Tuesday, June 5, to submit written requests. Stephenville residents should mail or bring their written suggestions to City Hall, located at 298 West Washington Street or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The council will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. June 5 to hear verbal requests and comments from citizens concerning the city’s budget. The council will host a slew of budget work sessions beginning in August.
