A steady stream of voters have made their way to the polls to cast ballots in the May 29 primary during the first week of early voting.

Since polls opened Monday, 641 ballots had been cast at the Erath County Courthouse and 149 in Dublin shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday.

"Turnout has been pretty good," said Election Administrator Sara Caudle. "There are more days of early voting in this election - two full weeks - so I think voters will wait until the last minute."

Residents have until Friday, May 25, to vote early in a spirited election that includes the race for sheriff, constables, commissioners and state representative.
