The Stephenville Study Club met May 8 in the home of Beth Lewellen. Twenty-two members and three guests enjoyed the salad luncheon on tables covered with pink and green tablecloths decorated with fresh flowers. Guests were Janis Petronis, Melanie Richardson and Judy Sale who

was voted into the club as a new member.

 President Peggy Haney called the meeting to order. Patricia

Weldon led the ladies in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Club

Collect. Secretary Jean Stokes read the minutes and also a

letter of resignation from Kay Floyd which was accepted with

regret. Treasurer Lisette Dottavio gave the club's bank balance.

She reported that the dues for the GFWC and TFWC had increased.

The club voted that dues for next year would be raised. President

Haney reported that her project for this year was the purchase of

a bench for the Bosque River Trail. When it arrives, she will notify

club members to be present for the placing of the bench. She

thanked Beth Lewellen for sharing her home and the hostesses

Marian Cole, Marianne Mullins and Joy Taylor for the luncheon

and the Italian Cream Cake they served.

 District Pioneer President Beth Lewellen installed the 2012-14

Club officers: President Patricia Weldon, First Vice-President

Jenny Allen, Second Vice-President Lisette Dottavio, Secretary

Marion Cole, and Treasurer Diane Stokes. Each lady was presented

a flower to represent her office. Beth said the Club members made

the garden of flowers complete. President Weldon was also presented

the President's pin. The Club adjourned for the summer.
