GUNTOWN, Miss. (AP) — Court officials in Tennessee say first-degree murder charges have been filed against the wife of a man suspected of killing of a woman and her teenage daughter and fleeing with her two younger girls.
The charges were filed Wednesday in Bolivar, Tenn., against Teresa Mayes. The Guntown, Miss., woman was charged a day earlier with kidnapping.
A call to Mayes' attorney wasn't immediately returned.
A search continues for her 35-year-old husband Adam Mayes. Authorities say he abducted Jo Ann Bain and her three daughters on April 27.
Bain and her oldest daughter were found dead.
Two younger girls are still missing.
