Early voting came to a close Tuesday, but don't put away your voter registration card just yet.
While votes in city and school elections will be tallied Saturday night, hours later the office of County Clerk Gwinda Jones will be bustling with activity again. Early voting in a number of county, state and federal races kicks off Monday.
On the county level - unless any of the five contested races are forced into a runoff - the outcome will be determined in the primary since each of the candidates are running on the Republican ballot.
To gear up for early voting, the Empire-Tribune will publish a series of questions and answers for each of the contested races, asking incumbents and their challengers to answer five questions pertinent to the office.
Candidates in the race for sheriff will be featured Friday, followed by candidates running for commissioners of precincts 1 and 3 on Sunday and constable for precincts 2 and 1,3 and 4 on Tuesday, May 15.
Early voting in the primary will continue in Stephenville through Friday, May 25, and will be held in Dublin through Friday, May 19. Election Day is Tuesday, May 29.
