Local farmers sue for crop payment

A few local farmers are mixed up in a lawsuit against West Texas Guar saying the Brownfield guar company failed to pay them for their crop. While the six Erath and Comanche County farmers are not part of the official petition, they do hope the progress made will affect them.

  3. Water woes in Dublin

    Dublin officials said a water leak in front of Dollar General Thursday afternoon was in the eight-inch main line that supplies the city with water. The leak and subsequent work on the line caused the water pressure to go way down and be cut off completely in the area surrounding the leak. Crews worked most of the afternoon and into the evening to fix the problem.

  5. Exhibit showcases work of Tarleton seniors

    The art scene at Tarleton State University is on the rise and the work of two graduating artists is on display as they prepare for life after college.
  6. Bray reaches state in golf

    Huckabay's Cade Bray is headed to state in golf. Bray fired rounds of 88 and 73 at Shady Oaks Golf Course in Baird Monday and Tuesday, placing fifth overall in 1A Region II. He qualified by being among the top three finishers who were not part of an advancing team. The state tournament is April 30 and May 1 at Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin. It was reported earlier this week in the E-T that Bray has earned a rodeo scholarship to Weatherford College.
